K.R.C. Genk played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw away at RSC Anderlecht in a top-of-the-table clash on Saturday. The young goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans was the standout performer for the Limburg side with several key saves, as reported by Sporza Voetbal.
The match on the fifth matchday of the Jupiler Pro League was a physical affair with few clear-cut chances. Anderlecht started strongly and put Genk under pressure from the first whistle. The substitutes Heymans and Bibout, who were brought on after Durosinmi and Erenbjerg were substituted to provide more attacking impetus, also failed to break the deadlock. A late cross from substitute Winkler was dealt with after Ambros committed a foul on Medina in the build-up.

The point keeps Genk in the middle of the Jupiler Pro League table. The club is currently eighth with seven points from four matches. Coach Thorup's team has won twice, drawn once, and lost once, with a recent run of W-D-W-L. They have scored twelve goals and conceded eight, a goal difference of plus four.
