K.R.C. Genk has signed Danish player Jeppe Erenbjerg. The 26-year-old winger joins the Genkies on a contract until mid-2030, leaving Zulte Waregem behind. Erenbjerg passed his medical tests on Tuesday and two days later, Racing Genk announced the transfer. Zulte Waregem paid 300,000 euros to Boldklubben af 1893 in 2024. The Genkies will pay 5.5 million euros for the 26-year-old player. “Jeppe brings something that every team is looking for: proven performance. He has shown in Denmark and Belgium that he can be decisive with goals and assists”, says Head of Football Dimitri De Condé via the official club channels. Nicky Hayen looks forward to the collaboration with Jeppe Erenbjerg. “We bring in a player who is ready to be a valuable asset for our group from day one. On the pitch and off the pitch. That's why it's extra valuable that he can join the training from the start.” Jeppe Erenbjerg scored 13 goals and 5 assists in the last season. Transfermarkt estimated his value at 4 million euros recently. “For me, this feels like the right step at the right time. K.R.C. Genk is a club with a clear identity, a lot of ambition and a way of playing that suits me”, says the Danish player. “I have learned the Belgian competition and know what is asked. Now I want to use my experience and drive to win prizes here.”
