K.R.C. Genk has taken an important step in their transfer policy today by welcoming Jeppe Erenbjerg, a talented midfielder. Erenbjerg, who excelled last season at Zulte Waregem with 13 goals and 5 assists in 35 matches, fits perfectly into the plans of coach Nicky Hayen. The Danish player can be deployed not only as an attacking midfielder but also as a winger, providing extra options for the club. In another development, K.R.C. Genk has informed goalkeepers Tobias Lawal and Hendrik Van Crombrugge that they may seek new clubs despite their ongoing contracts. Lawal has a contract until 2029 and Van Crombrugge until 2027, but the club has decided not to use them anymore. Lucca Brughmans, who turns 18 this month, has proven himself in the playoffs and is now confirmed as the first-choice goalkeeper. However, K.R.C. Genk is still looking for an additional goalkeeper to compete with Brughmans. Emile Doucouré, who joined from Beerschot last winter, will also be added as the third goalkeeper and is expected to play for Jong Genk.
