K.R.C. Genk wins a transfer jackpot by signing Ismael Saibari, who will join Bayern München for 55 million euros. Vincent Kompany secures the striker for the Limburgers. The 25-year-old Saibari did not play for Morocco against Brazil at the World Cup. He has already shown that he is ready for a step up. As if that was still needed, it was already known before the start of the tournament that Bayern wanted to take him from Eindhoven. The negotiations have apparently gained momentum and the deal is reportedly almost complete. This is confirmed by various sources, including Het Laatste Nieuws. The final points would still need to be put in place, but unless his medical examination throws a spanner in the works, Saibari will move to Germany for a staggering 55 million euros, including bonuses. The Dutchmen will have to give up a part of it. Fortunately for Genk, they will still get a significant share. Dimitri de Condé negotiated a resale percentage of ten percent, which means that around 5.5 million will be deposited on the account. "Through the training compensation, the amount will exceed six million. And so the transfer of Erenbjerg has already been repaid in full", the newspaper says. The money will be useful in the hunt for further reinforcements. K.R.C. Genk has a disappointing season behind them, but the arrival of Saibari is a good start for the Limburgers to strengthen their team. Vincent Kompany, the trainer of Bayern München, has an eye on Konstantinos Karetsas, together with Zakaria El Ouahdi one of the main candidates to make the cash register ring in the Cegeka Arena.
