KRC Genk has signed Ghanaian forward Jerry Afriyie on a five-year deal. The 20-year-old, who turns 20 on August 24, returns to Belgium after a successful loan spell at RAAL La Louviere in the 2025/26 season. Afriyie scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 34 matches for the club. Dimitri de Conde, head of football at Genk, called him an 'excellent addition' and highlighted his energy and dedication. 'Jerry gives 100% in everything and fits perfectly with our intensity,' said de Conde. The player, who also played for Ghana's U-20 team, has been on the radar of European clubs. Genk sees in him an opportunity to continue his development. The 20-year-old forward now becomes a focus for the club, which hopes he can make an immediate impact in the Jupiler Pro League.
