KRC Genk have secured their new right-back with the signing of Milan Roganovic. The Montenegrin international joins from FK Partizan on a contract running until the summer of 2031.
The 22-year-old defender is the direct replacement for Zakaria El Ouahdi, who moved to Hamburger SV earlier this summer. Roganovic made 69 appearances for Partizan and is a regular for the Montenegro national team. The transfer is understood to be worth around 3.5 million euros and includes a ten percent sell-on clause for the Serbian club.
For manager Wouter Vrancken, Roganovic's arrival addresses a key need in defence. Genk currently sit ninth in the Jupiler Pro League with nine points from six matches. The team is unbeaten in its last five league games, including a 1-1 draw with Gent last time out.
The new signing arrives ahead of a key away fixture against league leaders Club Brugge. The team can also rely on the form of top scorer Rafiu Durosinmi, who has five goals already this season.
